Don’t get me wrong, it still sounds very good, but if you really want to experience the immersive atmosphere I alluded to earlier, then stereo speakers are the way to go. Despite that, this soundtrack is atmospheric, dynamic, and emotive and is best listen to via your main stereo system for I find the mix, via headphones, to be a little too wide with regards to the soundstage, as if everything is coming from the far left and right with music absent from the middle of the mix. Although, and perhaps this is to be somewhat expected, it is not entirely symphonic in that some of the movements are more akin to synthetically created sounds that work for the album, and the film, but tend to draw one’s focus away from the music when they enter the mix. Whether you’ve seen the film or not, this Original Motion Picture Soundtrack will appeal to those of you who are interested in classical scores, with elements of traditional Bond themes thrown in for familiarity. It was likely left off as the album’s length is right on the precipice of the capacity of the CD format, but in the modern era of streaming one would assume they could tag it onto the end of the album in a similar manner to Siouxsie & The Banshees’ exceptional Face To Face from the Batman Returns Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Horizontal integration is when a conglomerate uses smaller independent companies to help with marketing, distribution or even the exhibition of a film.Yes, I acknowledge the instrumental version is present but I feel Sam Smith’s song was most certainly worthy of inclusion and would have been a value-added proposition for fans and music lovers alike. This use of all a media conglomerate's companies to produce, promote, market, and distribute a film and its official merchandise is called vertical integration. This means that these conglomerates can use all the companies they own to promote and market a film. The studios are often multinational media conglomerates that own companies across a range of various media platforms. These films are usually distributed by the studios that make them. High drama and exciting, easy to understand plots.
